INDIGO Update

Basic Instructions for the INDIGO 11.11.11 Software Update;

(Note this video simulation also includes the firmware update process. These steps will not appear if your device firmware is up to date)

Do this process with a good quality, high speed internet connection
Follow the prompts. Be patient and resist the urge to click a command twice if it appears that nothing is happening. There may just be a pause as it completes a step in the process.

Note: This is the new 11 11 11 software. This cannot be used to update anything older than 3 3 10. Download time will vary depending on the current software version and how many files are needed. For example from 3 3 10 this can be up to a 1 gig download. If you don’t have a good quality, high speed internet connection it might be advisable to go to www.qcupdate.com/ for these older software versions and run the applicable service packs.

If you run the update using the purple Download Update button at the bottom of the page you will be by-passing the first few steps and starting at # 4 in the instruction below, but you will first have to save and/or run the file. Some browsers (firefox), make you save first. Then you will need to retrieve it from downloads, in order to click the run option. Now Skip to Step 4 in the instructions listed below.
These are the full steps as seen in the video tutorial starting from the computer desktop using the INDIGO Update icon.
- Connect the INDIGO Device, turn it on and allow it to initialize
- Double Click the INDIGO Update Icon on your desktop
- Click Ok to the next Message ” Loading Update Tool Please click Ok and wait…”
- Click Ok to the message “Newer Version Available we will proceed to update”
- Please be patient, as there is a delay. It can take 30-60 seconds for the INDIGO Setup Wizard window to appear.
- Click Next/ Next on the INDIGO Setup Wizard and follow the prompts
- Click Finish on the INDIGO Setup Wizard (If this does not appear click the globe icon on the task bar to make the window show). The next step may have appeared but you need to Click Finish first.
- Click Ok to the message “Loading Update Tool” and The Software Update Download Window appears (Need to click the previous Finish first)
- Click Options / Advanced / (to open for full viewing of the progress)
- Click Download
- Click Ok on the Firmware Version Check Message
- You will only be prompted with ALL of the following steps ONLY if your firmware is NOT already up to date; *Click Continue, when complete, Close and then Ok to next message
- Downloading of all needed files for the update will commence, just click through any of the prompts as required.
- Click Ok to the “Update Process Complete” message and then click the Cancel / Close button on the download window. (the download window remains on the screen with green lines in the progress bars until you click, Cancel/Close)
- It should only take approx 10-15 minutes (providing you are currently using the 5 5 11 software) but this will depend on your internet speed and quality.
- Reset your device and reboot the computer. It is ALWAYS advisable to run a test session first after any update.
